As the production sound engineer, it was my job to facilitate Xana’s design and set up the sound system for the show. this also included the set-up and management of the sound network, OSC network, show relay and comms systems. My highlight of this production was figuring out how to incorporate the live mics for reverb effects whilst having to prioritise other productions.

Dance Nation depicts the angst and the ecstasy of a troupe of pre-teens, a mixture of the frightened and the feral, thrust into a world of cut-throat dance competition.

With a battle for power and perfection raging on and off stage, Clare Barron’s Dance Nation is a ferocious exploration of youth, ambition and self-discovery. Paul Foster directs this Guildhall School production.
